Why Vote?

Most local races in New York City are effectively determined by the primary election. Yet only 23% of registered voters turned out to vote in the 2021 Mayoral election. The primary was decided by only 7200 votes.

In 2023 only 13% turned out to vote for City Council. Most City Council races are decided by less than 3,000 votes.

This means that a small percentage of city residents are choosing who will govern our city. If we want to ensure that those elected to represent us are going to stand up to antisemitism, prioritize community safety and prosecute hate crimes, we must show up on June 24th and vote.
