Voting in New York City’s primary election is crucial for protecting our communities and ensuring leaders take a strong stance against antisemitism and hate crimes.
With antisemitic incidents on the rise, we need elected officials who prioritize safety, strengthen hate crime responses, and invest in education to combat intolerance.
The primary election is where many key races are decided, making it our best chance to choose leaders who will safeguard Jewish communities and all New Yorkers.
It’s also important to educate voters about the impact of ranked-choice voting, a system that’s now in place for city elections. Many are still unfamiliar with how it works, and understanding it is key to making informed choices at the polls.
Studies show that people are more likely to vote when asked by someone they trust. The New York City Jewish Voters Alliance is working to activate existing social networks in the Jewish community, such as those around synagogues, schools, and other Jewish institutions.
